Aren't I adorable?

Made this card for my Dad, who loves Orangutans (as I do!) its getting harder to make cards for him as Ive covered most grounds with this theme now :s

The top 2 atcs are made for a swap on a great little forum called magicalcrafts...vintage theme, perfect small project to get me into a bit of crafting with having so little time!

The bottom 2 I made for my dear friend Liz :) She loves her atcs and its because of her I perservere with trying to do them! lol (thanks Liz :)

Nephews 18th

My nephew is 18 this month, and joining up with the army (I have such mixed feelings about that!) Really hard age to make a card for ( for a male anyway, but then arent they all?!? lol)
Thanks to Paula for the help with the 3d sheet :) (I used a freee template to do the 18 card, and free backing graphics for the camoflauge)

His mum thinks he will love it. I do hope so :)

Nephews Footie Card

Cuddly Buddly designs came to the rescue yet again when I was completely stumped as to what to make for my nephews 11th birthday card! this collection has proved invaluable when it comes to those awkward mens cards with a personal touch....... how did i live without them before?!

Thanks for the comments left, after such a long time away from my blog, i was dubious anyone would even remember it! lol sadly I dont get as much time to craft at the moment, but will post whatever I do make, the enthusiasm is bubbling away, its just finding the time to fulfill my creative urges! lol :)

Comissioned Glass piece

As ordered by someone for their Spurs loving boyfriend!

Thought it would take me ages to do, but whipped this one out in just over an hour, good job really as I only had an afternoon to get it done before they went away on holiday! lol

Its been a while!

CLICK PICS TO ENLARGE.........

Well, its been a long time since i last posted anything new on here, mainly due to the downturn in events with my dads health, leaving me little time ( and enthusiasm!?) to craft...
But in the meantime, heres a few bits ive done recently, shall list more over the next few days...
got a hectic weekend ahead, my brothers getting married! (its taken me ages to find anything to wear! though judging by the weather, wellies and a waterproof mac might be whats called for! lol) Made a bookatrix style card with parchment paper and the colour theme of the wedding ( lilacs) Didnt have any other strong card for the box than blue, bit disappointing really :S

Here we go again...........

Well, seems I am getting slightly addicted to these lovely stamps! :S :)
All coloured with promarker pens, and stamped with navy stazon ink, I like the contrast, but will have a go with black later.
Have ordered some new pens as add ons....... feel the flesh tone in these are too 'bright' needs something more subtle, but til they arrive in the post, shall sit here twiddling my thumbs and wait impatiently! (I will probably still carry on til they arrive lol)

friend has asked me to paint or draw a picture for her boyfriends birthday, a subject I have always struggled with, horses and people! (fantasy style is okay, nothing wrong with pointy ears, noses and odd eyes *grin*) Hes a horse racing fanatic..... typical :S Shall give it a shot though :)

atcs friends theme

My efforts for the Forums ATC swap, not much to tell about them other than the theme was 'friends', Im still trying to get the hang of doing something on small scale ( i really ought to learn to do that with my talking! lol)

But its the taking part that counts, and keeps me occupied at least lol

couloured with inktense watercolour pencils, uni paint markers and pearlescent paints. (some done on black backgrounds, some on white)

Sugar Nellie Attempts

Well, I tried to do the 'shabby chic' look for these lovely stamps, but dont feel Ive pulled it together like all the other fantastic samples ive seen by other people....... maybe it'll come together for me sometime and I'll surprise myself. Im glad I had a go, and I wont give up after just one attempt! I made the simpler looking one, more my style lately of card making.... now, that one was really easy for me!

I coloured the images with my lovely new promarkers..... pricey for pens, but worth it, can feel them being a craft room staple ;)

Ive got an ever growing wish list forming for crafty stash..... so many new products out that I want to try, does a crafters wish list ever end? hmmmmm I think not!!

Sons birthday tomorrow,I may bake a cake for him.... Im long done with making the novelty ones, or so I thought!.... Have had visions of a set of drums made out of round cakes.....
though they could end up like symbols if Im not careful! watch this space and we'll see if i master my creative vision! lol

Car Boot Bounty!

Well, I said Id show just how big the car boot is at Cheltenham racecourse, but these photos do not justify the vast enormity of it all! (CLICK ON PIC TO ENLARGE) the top row of cars are parking, but just beyond the white 'picket' fence, thats all stalls, as far as the eye can see......... its certainly a lot of leg work!

.....................................................................................................................................................

And heres my bounty!....

I got the brand new magazines for just 20p each (all have freebie papers inside)

Burgandy and cream ribbon spools (organza) 25metres on EACH for £1 (each spool)

3 Large rubber stamps for £1 for all 3!

Fabric stickers for 50p

...and glue dots dispenser and extra refill pack for 50p!

Oh I do love to find a bargain, or two, or three, or four and so on!*grin*

Couple of cards

Well, its been a busy day today, went to the huge car boot sale this morning, and another in the afternoon ( I took some pics to show just how huge it really is, will list them tomorrow) ... was a nice morning wandering around, but felt exhausted this afternooon, me fast asleep on the sofa by 4pm...VERY unlike me! (not been well, but couldnt keep me away from booting lol)

Got some great crafty bargains, will also list them tomorrow too :)

for now though, a couple of cards I made........... :)

both watercoloured images....nestabilities and lovely purple papermania papers kindly sent to me by Liz :)

Sons Birthday Tankard

Well, cant say im happy with the end result, best i could do with the blunt tools i had! Really must invest in some more new points soon. always handy to have to whip up that quick present for someone! (craft cupboard staple!?)

Jakes heavily into Drum n Bass, so im sure he'll like it whatever, and now hes living in his own little flat, im sure he'll be grateful for more drinksware whatever happens to be on it! lol

Domnino Necklaces

One of those things, I want to try something, so do loads of it, then let it rest for ages before I pick it up again and do it 'better'... so.... have found my huge stash of blank dominos, and intend to do some more soon, but hopefully better ;)

I buy mine form car boot sales mostly, tend to find nicer thinnner ones there, usually creamy coloured too, rather than stark white. Just a personnal preference of mine, I like the more 'aged' look. (mixture of both in picture)

I used stazon ink pads, sharpie pens, diamontes and 3d glaze. I made the little boxes on my crease and fold board :)

Seed Bead Bracelet

Well, havent done much this week, other than made this bracelet ( using glass seed beads ,28g cotton and a beading needle, which has an 'eye' the size of a speck of dust! *gulp* my eyes need testing!) In hindsight, i should of checked the colour of all my beads before merrily getting into swing , watching tv at the same time,it was just one of those 'im bored what shall i do...? moments... ah well, live n learn ;)
In the pipeline......
Im currently trying to finish off a glass engraving piece for my sons 17th birthday (april 22nd)
must invest in some new diamond tipped engravers, had mine for 18 years, done many pieces with them, and those faithful tips now finally need putting up for retirement!
will add photos when finished of the tankard.... drum n bass theme ( cor! what awful music! Hes finally found something I dont like, so its probably 'way cool' to him now! lol)
